Stephie knows that the key to a successful day is organization. That's why she started the day with a thorough review of the daily schedule Mommy left.
Item 1 on the agenda, opening the nine-days-left presents, (and also, the airplanes from Pilot Pete's last night).Yay!!! Cards from Mommy and junk food with Hello Kitty pictures on it!!! Perfection!
The girls made countdown chains to mark the days til Mommy returns.
Stephie made hers with pink and brown links, "Because those were the colors I was wearing when Haley was born"
There were a few laps around the house with everyone wearing everyone else's shoes, obviously.
Then church with Grandpa Allen followed by lunch at Jason's Deli. Free Ice Cream!!! Haley eats it in the Haley Style, which is to say, she just watches it melt all over the counter without touching it while screaming at you if you even reach towards it.
Haley wore her shades on the ride home. Allegedly because of the sun, but really so that we couldn't catch her falling asleep. "Ha ha ha, you thought I might nap at home. Daddy funny."
After fake / non-naps, we headed over to Julie and Papa's for dinner. This is a picture of us walking around the block. I think it was 3:30 in the afternoon judging by the amount of sunlight.
Haley played a round of Bingo,
While Stephie cataloged every Thanksgiving decoration in the house.
The girls closed out the day re-watching the videos Mommy left them on their phones.
