Preparing for the holiday season

After we finished putting up our decorations, we had a rousing game of Elefun.


Haley and Papa bumped it up a notch.


Stephie wrote this letter all by herself.


Somebody sold our name to the Montessori toy catalog.


We finished wrapping presents for our adopted family.











Finally, we have been married for 6 years today! Stephie celebrated with a giant iron pot.

St Charles Christmas festival

It was a cold morning, but the girls had a lot of fun collecting cards from the characters walking around downtown St Charles. There was Santa...


...his mail carrier...


...a flower peddler...


...and the snow queen...


...an angel named Harmony...


...and finally a candy fairy.


This guy scared the girls. He called Haley Cindy Lou Who.


Finally the girls made handprint frames at an art studio.














Stephie chose reindeer, and Haley chose Santas. A very fun morning!

Thanksgiving at Gigi and Roger's house

We visited a really cool new science museum this morning called Myseum. The girls went on a dinosaur bones dig.


This slide clocked their speed (9 mph, to be exact).


Stephie built the arch.


And then knocked it down.


This exhibit showcased Bernouli's principle, but Stephie used it as a wind tunnel instead.


And then it was time to see Grandma Lois! Stephie read her this book.


Dinner was delicious.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We started out the day with some Thanksgiving crafts.


Stephie helped set the table, complete with greenery and parsley that she picked on a morning nature walk.





Haley had a snack instead.


We went for a nice walk.


This house is just being built!


Haley took a much needed car nap.


And then it was time to party!
